AHA Heartsaver First-Aid AED Total CPR Class
The American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver Total First Aid/CPR/AED course is a blended learning course that teaches students how to respond to emergencies and provide first aid, CPR, and AED use.The course covers a variety of topics, including:
First aid basics, such as bleeding, sprains, and broken bones
Medical emergencies, such as heart attack, stroke, and severe choking
Injury emergencies, such as bites and stings
Environmental emergencies
Using an AED on an adult and child
Using an epinephrine pen
Controlling bleeding and applying bandaging
The course is designed for anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency, or who needs to comply with OSHA or other regulatory agency requirements. Some examples of people who may need to take this course include corporate safety employees, security guards, airline personnel, and lifeguards.
The Heartsaver Total course is available as a blended learning course, which includes online learning and a hands-on skills session.Students can also take a full classroom course, which is instructor-led and hands-on.
